Introducing our first but definitely not our last silk scarf. In honor of my Venezuelan heritage I wanted to create a piece that represents the country I love. The Little Diablo Scarf features an illustration of a Diablo Danzantes del Yare. The Dancing Devils of Yare is a religious festival celebrated on the day of the Feast of Corpus Christi, in San Francisco de Yare, Miranda state. The Dancing devils of Yare are, without a doubt, a source of pride from Miranda for all of Venezuela. Their origin comes from the times of the Spanish colonization and their true beginning is the subject of dozens of theories. The festival is the culmination of Spanish colonial influence (primarily Christianity) on the country's indigenous people. The festival has been passed on through generations, and goes back almost 400 years. So, its easy to see what a special piece this is, and it adds a fun coconut girl aesthetic to your wardrobe.
